squeaky bottom bracket..
My kona stinky has developed a rasping squeak which I think is the bearings in bb? just thought I'd post here before I go attempting to remove and replace.
I assume an easy enough job to do with right tools??

Re: squeaky bottom bracket..
Its not too difficult - just remember to put the right number of spacers back on when refitting new BB!
Think its 2 on LHS 1 on drive side for 68mm and 1 on drive side 73mm. You'll need a external tool and an allen key to remove the crank arms.

Re: squeaky bottom bracket..
Thanks Ricko.
I got the tools delivered today so started about removal after the spuds. Removed the non-drive side crank arm but could not shift the bb cup so went to try the other side, got the ethirteen bash guard off and the chain roller then noticed the noise had stopped.
So looks like its the bearings in the roller device but to be sure I'll stick it back on and then get a replacement bearing kit.
Also, when I had the bike up on the work stand I noticed a rumbling when the back wheel was free wheeling. Does it sound like the bearings are worn on the wheel?
