Newbie
Hi,
I'm a newbie here so hello to all. I'm just starting to do a bit of riding again and am hoping to get up to Helen's Tower for a poke about but it has obviously evolved a lot since I was last up that way (a long time ago). i'm a bit confused as to the location of the trails that I have seen mentioned on here and I don't want to embarass myself ending up on one of the jumpy DH tracks so was wondering if any regulars are heading up soon if I could tag along and get shown about the place?

Re: Newbie
Dont worry about embarassing yourself. It never stopped me getting to were I am today.
What sort of helmet do you have just out of interest?
And welcome to the forum!

Re: Newbie
Hi guys,
I'd be interested in meeting up with you the next time you're heading up that way. Just starting over myself and could probably do with some directions too!
Don't worry, you can leave me behind when I start trailing behind. I know I'm probably going to end up dying after trailing my fat arse round lol

Re: Newbie
Hi Keith,
I was up on Sunday and met up with a guy who kindly let me tag along with him, and thoroughly enjoyed the run.
It did drive home how unfit I am however, so I'd like to get up again hopefully this weekend too.

Re: Newbie
Excellent, I think I'm going to head out on Sunday morning so I'll tag along if that suits? Discovered the gears on my new bike aren't setup right at all so I'll have to get them sorted before then and get some new gloves etc

Re: Newbie
Got on well, we went up to Helen's tower and then down to Helen's bay via the Ulster way back to Bangor. Only ended up going down one hill that we shouldn't have lol
I was pleased to make it round without passing out to be honest, the pace was good. Do need to upgrade everything though but I'll have to save up!
