First up here is the latest Cove prototype (http://www.pinkbike.com/modules/photo/?op=view&image=497967), rumour has it Glyn is getting his soon to test out. Essentially a single pivot rear end with a linkage driven shock (a non Horst version of this (http://www.knollybikes.com/vtach.html) perhaps?), lateral rigidity shouldn't be an issue with that amount of metal back there. Also a fairly long stroke shock by the looks of it, who wants to speculate on the travel?

Also how about a 2006 Float X Evol?

Long stroke air shock for DH? The next evolution of the DHX air (http://www.singletrackworld.co.uk/mod/submit/images/1609-2.jpg)?

1 problem with that fox shock in the pic is that it wont fit on alot of frames, it definately wouldnt fit on my 223 because of the 2 piggy backs, there aint enough room on a 15" frame.

The overall diameter of that shock may not be too much more than a coilover shock if you think about it. Then again the shock could be for a Spesh Epic type arrangement or even a Snowmobile, there are no details about the shock in the picture other than it is rumoured to be for a bike.

UPDATE: This is a new shock from Fox, it is a 2006 model, but it's an 18" long shock for an ATV. Bit big for my bike, dammit.
