Hi Ricky - Bever has a wooded area either side of the river with jumps, berms and short trails. Stringing them together could get you a 20 k run. It's a good fun practise ground to hone up ur bike skills with a run round Dixons or the Ring to tighten up the calf muscles. We're normally out 1-3 hrs with a pitstop in Iris's cafe for a slab of cake and coffee.

July 22-2010, 11:23 PM
Turning out to be quite a crowd indeed frazzo. I don't know anyone except 2, so don't know what skills or bikes they have. I'd suggest we meet and have a quick xc round the features, easy in a train, where no one gets left behind and can travel at a speed that suits them. Then we can visit some jumps and berms and those able can jump and those unsure can watch, learn and maybe have a go. If need be we can split into 2 groups. I'm open to suggestions on the day, as long as everyone gets out for an enjoyable burn :)

No problem Bowdie, just remember when you don't have the punctureproof tyres on to carry a repair kit!!
I'll keep an eye out for when you're all out on Sundays cos they generally suit me better than Saturdays.

Hi chaps
Had good fun on saturday always good to ride somewhere different and to meet like minded folk. Might bump into you all on sunday myself and a couple of mates will be hitting Helens tower-Blackwood-coastal-redburn in around the 24 mile mark.
Thinking of fitting slicks and entering lap of the lough if anyone is interested ?
Cheers

Will watch out for you on Sunday.
