Ah it was good, slimy and wet and dirty but so so so good. My back hurts, I stink so bad the dog wont come near me, I havent shaved since thursday, my van is covered in cooking oil and has an inflatable sheep in it and I got breathalysed for the first time (scary stuff) but it was all worth it.
Florence and the machine were feckin amazing. Best act by far. Temper trap second. Stereophonics third. Biggest disappointment Black Eyed Peas. Fergie would still get it like.
Wednesday Im there for sure. I was thinking meeting in Tolly at about 10 or 10:30

yep 12.1 miles, with a 500ft climb from the carpark to the top of the watchtower. you can download the gpx file if you want to see the route. open it in google earth. the routes look a bit "off" in places though, probably due to the tree cover/rain.
crackin day, very wet....kayaks next time?, im sore and tired but im not complaining!
cheers monty for the tour
monty

Great wee ride out, despite the weather.
Even if I did spend more time drifting corners, on my knees, rather than going round them on my bike!
SteveSpesh
July 15-2010, 02:18 PM
It was a slog but well worth it guys. I got 12.3 miles on my comp so were not far away.
Got a couple of vids but with it being dark in the forest and the rain they didnt come out very well. Got a cracker though of Gilkie hunched over holding his nuts and a few other wee offs.
The bike looks like its been run over. Ive got a few wee squeaks and creaks that need addressed before Sunday. You still going Al? Hopefully the weather changes. Think Im defo going now though
Gilkie
July 15-2010, 03:16 PM

Although I did enjoy the corkscrew where the water totally flooded it, it meant I couldnt see the big scary stones. It really was better than in the dry.
