This Sunday is another of our shop dis-organised rides around Tollymore forest. The focus is on showing newcomers to our sport and those not familiar with Tollymore around the forest. It's not a guiding day, it's not a coaching day, it's not even an organised ride, it's a dis-organised ride.

We will set out from the top carpark at 10.30am on Sunday morning and be in the forest for approx 3 hrs. The pace will be that of the slowest man. All ages, abilities and types of bikes are welcome. Pushing is dis-couraged as we are firm believers in riding to the top, no matter how long it takes and how many stops you need to make. If you really must push we'll wait for you at the top but expect a slagging.

Don't let that one rule put you off though, most can ride to the top of any of the Tollymore trails, it just takes the will to do it. If you really are a get off and push merchant though then perhaps this is not a ride for you.

All bikes are welcome but they must be in a fit state for riding in a rocky and rough forest, everyone must wear a helmet and each rider is expected to be self sufficient in terms of punctures etc.

There is no need to bring food, we won't be out that long! But make sure you bring your own water.

10.30 top car park sharp, we will not be waiting.

No need to post here saying you won't be going, only post if you are going, so we can get an idea of numbers. Feel free to ask any (relevant) questions.

More info and directions here (http://www.realcycles.co.uk/RC/Shop_Rides/Entries/2010/6/29_Tollymore_Newbie_Day__July_4th._10.30am.html)

The top carpark is the car park in tolly, that's the higher of the two. get there, and look, that statement will then make sense!

This is still on, it's only raining a bit down here, and likely to stop soon anyway.

It's only water.

Well I headed out with BK with the intention of meeting up with you guys. We headed off to do the corkscrew, et al, but took in a scenic route on the way round. BK guessed this slight detour would take about 20minutes, well Im not sure as never looked at the time all day, but it was easily a LOT longer than 20mins.

Ill try better next time to get a few runs in with you guys.
