I've been reading through some threads and it seems that someone gives lessons in Tollymore?
Was out there during the week and really enjoyed it, but would like to learn how to ride properly.
What £ are we talking and when?

Learning to ride your bike in Tollymore is free. Just take the bike to Tollymore, and ride it. Seriously, there is no substitute. Lessons will shortcut some of the learning process, but wheres the fun in that? Learning to fall off is as big a part of learning to ride as staying upright.

Hook up with folks on the next Tollymore ride that is put in the rides section and just watch the others, then do as they do.

Or the other way round in some cases!

No worries. Went down with a few other fellas and basically we all learnt off each other, so I'll keep at that and keep my eyes open for any meets.

Cheers

Get a wee bit of experience first, then think about taking lessons.

And dont be worrying about upgrading a new bike, you'll soon have plenty to spend your money on, trust me!

I would say I definitely have a more graceful technique, but i'm only really good at falling off on uphill trails or flat fireroads. You are excellent at binning it on downhill fireroads.

Lets just watch the first few seconds of this video on repeat:

What standard are you at now? What do you want to gain from lessons?

get lessons as soon as you are fit enough to stick a full or even 1/2 day out. They will help you know the best place to be on the bike to try to avoid as much as is possible hurting yourself. Far better to learn how to do it properly as early on as you can. Young's will have you trying things you may not now think you could do at the end of a one day lesson.

I've literally just started. Only been out properly once.
