Yea :) I rode the link from blackwood to top a few months ago, few muddy bits with horsey hoof holes but wee tracks {like wardens} at top and racing down between trees; excelent!

^ despite my best efforts you just havent learnt from me at all, have you? ;-)
Im grounded this weekend.....my rear brake is airlocked and has defied every attempt to bleed it.....:-(
Still, Majorca looks sunny.....

Brakes still not fixed???

Unfortunately I'm also stuck this weekend despite the fact my 3 month summer has just started. My injured thumb means I can't shift down the gears easily, and even just holding the bars is sore. So I shall be stuck at home mostly for the next week.

When you see an 8 YO climbing a steep section with apparent ease on a mini trial bike, that U have just weezed and humped up 2 minutes before, it make U wonder - Is it all worth it? LOL

guys, dont take this the wrong way, but if you mean some of the logs u have to hop/jump/ride over, please leave them be, they are trail features that add a bit of interest ?fun even? to the trails.
if u cant/dont want to ride over them, stick to the fire roads or step over them.
jack has done some good work on fallen tree bypasses, but some things are being moved/filled in where there is simply no need.
if there are bits you dont like, build a detour but dont wreck trail features.
again, im not getting at you, just different people like different sorts of trails

There is only one log hard to get over, sure we can discuss putting a stepping rock to the far left/right of it next time we are there, if everones happy with it ok, if not we'll walk it :)

To be fair I wasn't there, just read the comments posted and most was likely bita sharp banter, as Mr P's said it was the wrong type of soil, not as loamy as North Down :(
Hopefully it won't affect me this weekend ;-)
Catch ya out on the trails now ur steed is back in operation ..

wouldnt build too much at lords, at the end of the day its an xc track, build some thing and it would be a nightmare to maintain
jacks2ts
June 28-2010, 08:09 PM
Not building anything that needs maintaining , just do the job right in the first place nice and solid.:):)
You'll see the berm when i build it and you'll see why :)
