Anyone heading out in Bangor tomorrow morning (Saturday) and wouldnt mind a "noobie" tagging along. I see there is something on Sunday but couldnt make it.
Very new to this and need to know some of the local trails. Got myself a Carrera Hardtail a few weeks ago to get me started and loving it. Been snooping around but not keen on getting in trouble with the locals or golf club members. Think I almost found the way to HT.
Not race fit as yet, so something more leisurely so that I can keep up. Phil.

The Saturday morning bap munchers normally head out from the pitstop cafe on the Balloo road around 9:00. I'm not sure if there is anyone planning to go out this week or not. I'd normally be out but after dislocating my thumb on Tuesday, I'm not able to make it. I should be out next Saturday morning as normal though.
The easiest ways into Helen's tower are through clandeboye golf club car park (just go straight up through the car park and keep following the path til you're in the forest) or the sawmill entrance on the crawfordsburn road. There are trails all over the forest, so literally wherever you go, you can find some trails.

Yeh, going to head out in the morning for couple of hours. If you fancy it, see you at the Pitstop around 9-9.15am. Going round Lord Wardens up Helens Tower, into the Lead Mines and then back to the Tower, down Forbidden and then home.
Mr P. might join us if he gets his mojo back.

Cheers Kendo and Gary for showing me around on Saturday. Opened my eyes and if my mussels and back recover in time will be out again next weekend. Scary as hell in parts but great craic.

No probs Phil, the company was good. Won't make it this weekend as heading to Tolly. Meet up with the Penguin and jacks2ts this weekend and they will show more trails.
