May come along for said fry and the first loop if you can bare me? I'll either be quicker now i have a bike with a granny ring and raisable seatpost, or slower as it is a 7 inch travel full bouncer that apparently is "all mountain" haha!

flames35
May 19-2010, 04:57 PM
Still going to be 4-6 weeks before young Jack will be on a bike. I'm not supposed to be on a bike for another 2 weeks but FFS, I can only take so much with Mr.P. doing 4-5 hour runs and all the other guys talking about their runs.
I have to get out. Feel sorry for Drew.
As they say; "GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT"

Might tag along with you guys on Sunday.
Been out on the roads with a hybrid for the past couple of years, just bought a mtb.
Used to go up to HT years ago; did the trail down to Helens bay a few weeks ago.
Is it worth including Cairn wood in the trail?
Bowdie
May 20-2010, 12:06 PM
I like Cairn wood, but leaves you with a road section to get back to Clandyboye ave. Check on the day and who knows if peps fancy it ... :)

Managed to cram a few hours today and the trails are excellent!
LW, HT, Forbidden and Blackwood are just perfect. The warm sunny weather helped a bit too! Hard to believe only a few weeks ago it was all mud, snow and puddles!
A splendid day out!:)

Absolutely roasted with my body armour on but just back, managed to lose the guys going down the back of the tower, I thought we were doing a run right to the bottom haha, then by the time I got up to forbidden nobody was to be seen! My guys where there so just did a few runs and jumps and chilled. Very good day but i feel like I have heat exhaustion haha ;)

Thanks to Marky for showing us and newbies around the Lead Mines and Conlig. Really enjoyed the day out, not hot enought to make it uncomfortable but very Spanish! Didn't crash or fall off but managed to washout the front wheel on the costal path Opps! - those Mountain Kings are a bit twitchy ;-)

The dog walkers are still at down Blackwood way. Cleared 3 big logs off the trail in the space of 20 mtrs. About 10ish.
Bowdie
May 23-2010, 10:39 PM
Cleared some logs during the week too, was on foot cutting thorns back hoping to catch one but some of these twats are out dawn to dusk, and it can take only a min to move a small log into the path. Notice signs on Greenway about sharing trails, maybe pinch a few and stick at either end of Blackwood to scare these twats off!
