No, not a wind up headline in a red top paper, but a genuine appeal to all people from the most powerful man on the planet.
Mr. Bush, who took up mountain biking several years ago after a knee injury stopped him running said "For those of you who like to mountain bike, I would strongly suggest getting out in this beautiful Scottish countryside" when talking to a BBC reporter about his recent fall from his MTB before the G8 conference.
He went on to add "when you ride hard on a mountain bike, sometimes you fall. Otherwise you're not riding hard enough". He also commented on the fantastic facilities Scotland has to offer mountainbikers- "Scotland has fantastic facilities for mountain bikers from the Borders to the Highlands."
MTBrider has just emailed him telling him to leave his MTB at home on any planned trips to NI. For an explanation as to why he won't be welcome to ride it here we've sent him some links to our recent "Forest Service say NO!" articles.
