Trying to set up a mate's Reign for him, I know lots of people on here have them....
Has a Manitou swinger on it - any idea what pressure for a 170lb-ish rider?
Also - googling suggest the red knob I assumed was rebound may be a second air chamber, and around 50-70 psi goes in that - am I right?

Bin it and put a proper shock on...
But while he saves for that, put about 50psi in the SPV chamber (red valve) and play about with the main chamber (blue valve), start off at 150psi or so and keep letting a few psi out and bouncing about on the bike until it feels right or it starts bottoming out when you drop off stuff.

The red & blue are both valves?

sorry, black valve is the main air chamber.
The 3-way really is a average to below average shock. The Reign deserves so much better.

Yeah, but he's blown his budget on the bike itself, so upgrades will be a while.
I'd be nudging him towards this otherwise

If he's on a budget, a few quid on something like this will make the world of difference
