OK so going to get the house done but was looking for some feedback from anyone with experience.

any one have any experience of getting a whole house fitted with double glazing, both good and bad who to use and who to avoid....

two firms that i'm getting quotes from so far are Windows 2000 and Turkington's. i know Turkington have a good rep but interested in any feedback if any one has any.

cheers in advance.

Second that vote.

Uel did our windows a coupe of years ago. Unbeliveably tidy job and haven't had any niggles or problems yet.

He does all over Northern Ireland so North Belfast won't be a problem

Ule replaced my 6 x 5ft front window in Belfast for a good price when I lived there after some wee fek's put it in with a catapult :annoyed:

I can vouch for Turkington Windows also, they have excellent customer service and warranty.

I think they send their own inspector out around the jobs to check they are being done to the right standard and are quite particular.

Windows 2000 is rubbish. XP is far better. But OSX is probably the best.

Whole house done by Super Seal, based behind Junction One in Antrim. They beat Turkingtons by a considerable margin and job was tidy. Replacing windows is always more difficult than from new, especially if the original ones are a funny width.
Go for the A rated glass as it is little more expensive than the others and you really notice the difference.
I live in Ahoghill, outside Ballymena if you fancy a look.
