Nice build mate:) I used an ASX with 888's for mega and it was perfect. I fact that looks very like my old frame. I stripped the paint on the rear swingarm. Is there still traces of black paint on it????

Very nice Ben mate, I would go with 66's though as my kona was like a chopper and then I put the forks down to 170mm with flat bars and I love it ! so much better to ride. Enjoy

One of the worst looking DH (if you'd call it that) bikes i've ever seen, it just looks so so wrong.
Something you mightened of wanted to hear, however if you post up pics you'll get all types of comments and thats mine unfortunately.
However as Linsday said nice wheels :D
Sorry.

ASX isn't really a downhill bike.
I owned one for about 4 weeks, after I got offered a brand new frame mega cheap.
Sold it on ebay and made my money back.
Was far too flexy for my 15stone, and I didn't like the brake jack.
Could feel the rear suspension stop working, as soon as I touched the rear brake!

Yeah, it looks wrong, too tall and steep giving a short wheelbase, is there any adjustment (shock mounts etc) to slacken and lower it a bit ??
It's like the black yeti posted up recently, instantly you just know it needs the angles/ setup dialled in, it's not just this bike i've never liked any asx i've seen built up, to me they all look wrong.
Ben my advice is see if you can alter the angles a bit or possibly a slightly shorter shock length would work.
Of course, you are the only one to have ridden this bike so only you know how it feels, you may love it, i hope you do. Keep us informed as to how you get on with it and i hope the negetive comments don't bother you to much, for what it's worth i've never seen a stranger DH bike than Smurfs :p
