A bit off topic but Anyone else ever had any problems getting in and being turned down for no reason at all?
Im talking about the fact your dressed very well, produce a passport for i.d and your well behaved and it always goes along the lines of "not tonight mate" and you ask why and they say the same over and over..
why it this?

Don't take it personally, the bouncers at the box are genuinely some of belfasts biggest c**ts.
They have to turn guys away to keep the little princesses who go to the Box happy, and make them think its some sort of exclusive up market club. Last time I was there they actually punched one of my friends and threw him out for something very minor (leaning against a table).
I have since boycotted the Box, its not much, but they have pissed me off so many times I refuse to give them anymore money.

its not as bad as it was, seems that since business is hard at the mo, they are less strict

Bouncers are there to let in lots of skirt, their mates and a few token guys to stop the skirt heading somewhere else. Universal rule the world over.

bowdie that is true, but the box was bloody insane, the door policy was totaly rediculous and it just seemed the box was trying to be a super club with exclusive clients that average joe couldnt get into, when it was just another piss hole.

I've never been but I tend to stick to the same place ie Budda and Bar 7 when I'm in the ODC, once you get to know the bouncers they can be ok - Im turning 18 in Feb I'll prob start going there but friends in the same year as me who have turned 18 and their being knocked back for really stupid reasons

I'll agree with you on that point
Generally best night out in Belfast club wise for me is Stiff Kitten.

Do what some lads did a few times here in Dundalk when bouncers got physical for no reason, go home, get your shotgun and do a drive by on them. And then for good measure burn down dromad garda station.

Go some where you are welcomed instead...!
But if you are hell bent on wanting in.........
If they are turnning you away for no apparent reason then find out midweek from the club mamagement what there club policy is and if you dont seem to be doing anything wrong tell them you have been refused ask for the manager to put you on a guest list so as the Door Supervisor knows you are allowed in. Make sure you are sober on turnning up till the Staff gets to know your allowed in.

I think you will find this is allready the case all Door Supervisors have to have done a SIA course......
And most of them are not allowed to throw there weight about even if they have any I dont have much im quite small, I have been accepted as a Door Supervisor in one of Irelands biggest nightclubs just waiting on my SIA course

I was working on wednesday night. Now my work is a pub not a club or anything fancy we do ****tails, they're called shandys. Some young lad wearing his dads best shirt strolls up and asked for a sex on the beach. After I stopped laughing he was handed a pint.
