Whose your money on?
I'd like to to see Blenky get this one, podium at least.

I reckon it'll be a flat pedal moto style bandit that'll win it :)
I wanna see Hill win it !!
I think Kovarik and Rennie and Brendog could do well on that track
Also Blenky or Gwin could podium
Deffo don't wanna see Minnar up there, can't see Peat or Gee riding the dusty tracks to a win and Hanna as an outsider

Brian Lopes all the way ;)
In all seriousness though, he's got a good chance! That bottom section looks pretty perfect for him!
I'd put my money on Hill. Although I'm expecting Blinky, Gee and Lopes to get a top 5

i wouldn't write steve peat off though, how hungry must that man be to win the world champs? His will and determination must be beyond any other riders

I forgot about Barel, yeah out of the clipped in brigade i reckon he will be up there. I did hear a rumour though that one of the flat pedal riders may run spd's for this race ????

Some interesting bike setups. Gee has a remote lock out air shock and Hill/Fairclough are riding sx trails.

Hill / Fairclough (http://dirtmag.co.uk/news/category/events/world-champs-bikes-sam-hill/dirt-1235630.html)

Dayum...would be quite the advert for the sx trail if hill wins onboard one at the worlds.

They look well with that paint and the triples on. I wonder if the geometry has been modified to accomodate that or if they're stock sx trails.

Someone needs to tell them they look like buftys in their matching pyjamas with matching bikes.

looks pretty smooth, couple of rock gardens in there, and good bit of flowy slopestye, so shorter travel is maybee better. they might have changed the linkage plates on sx and added longer shock for more travel. or could have shortened the boxxers to 6"..
its fine for them boys that can have new parts/bikes all the time.. rest of use need something to last n last..

Did I see lopes on a Mojo in one of the vids on dirt?

Not a Mojo, but a new Ibis HD 7" travel thing. Barel is on a 6" bike with single crown Fox up front, he reckons lighter is the way to go too.

I'm too lazy/retarded to figure out what time the mens dh is on at. Anyone know what time it's on freecaster over here?

September 04-2009, 04:45 PM
Canberra is GMT +10 so to see all the mens DH final that would be 4am start. Full start times here (http://dirtmag.co.uk/news/category/events/canberra-world-champs-sunday-start-times/dirt-1235679.html)
Top 5 prediction from me will be Sick Mik, Peat, Barel, Hill, Minaar, but not necesarily in that order. But would love to see Rennie perform to his potential.
