autoglym, nothing amazing, but gives very good consistent results, use the super shampoo (green label) then just use the super resin polish (red label) and thats all you'll need, car will look awesome.
Also buy a microfibre mitt to wash it, dont use a sponge, and use 2 buckets one with just water, (to rinse sponge in after you have wiped the car) and the other with the soapy water, this keep particles of grit out of your wash mitt and helps reduce paint swirls.
also never was your car in direct sunlight, and only wash say one side at a time so you have time to rinse before the soap can dry. and always give your car a good rinse with the hose before your start sponging, (removes any loose dirt and dust)

Clean wheels 1st
I use snow foam on the full car
Power hose off but don't touch it!
Use autoglym shampoo
Then it's time to clay the paint to get all the tar etc off
Then autoglym super resin polish
Then auto glym high def wax
Followed by meguiars last touch diluted 1:1 to remove dust and improve shine!!
Have a look on the detailing world website for tips!

This is similar to askign which bike is best. It all depends on how far and how much money you want to spend on it.
How much time do you have to do it in?
Hand polish or machine? Bla bla bla
Basically:
Wash
Clay to remove surface contaminants
Polish
Glaze if you're feeling really up for it
Sealant or wax
