Reading that I started to think it was the daily mash, had to scroll back up to check it wasn't a windup article.

well the last two years we have had unreal april and may.. Then come summer its rained constantly. Hopefully this year we get all the rain now and good summer.

Apparently it has something to do with a jetstream in the upper atmosphere that keeps the rain away... or some gobbledy gook like that..

This is what you need to check.

http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/jetstream.asp

The further south the jetstream in relation to the UK the worse our weather is. The last two summers the jetstream parked itself just north of France and look what happened.

Government spending £millions on a heat wave plan.... FFS if it gets that bad let the stpid ones die!!!

It says homeowners can stay cool by painting their houses white and planting shrubs for shade.

OK, I'll spend £500 painting my house white. And where do I get 30ft tall trees to shade my house from?!

The Met Office says it is too early to tell whether it will be a very hot summer this year, but the signs so far are that it will be warmer than our last two summers

Oh no!! So you mean it might be warmer that the mid-teen oC wash out of a summer we had last year??? Worst case? 25C in the north and 35C in the south. MTFU.

I say bring it on. I'm Pist off with the rain and damp, me being old fella and all, its not good for joints!!!lol

We are long over due even a few dry weeks. That would be good. Just once I'd like to go out on nice dry trails, get a bit of a tan, sit back after it and have a cold beer.

I'll say that on the way home last night I've never seen torrential rain last almost half an hour like it did.

I don't look at weather forecast any more.

jetskirider.com ftw

My jet ski idea starting to appeal to you colin? lol

ST Colin
May 20-2009, 10:41 AM
Yes mate, I think it's a genius idea.

Finally got the chain fitted last night, in the alley way keeping out of the rain!

rochey
May 20-2009, 10:45 AM
Happy days, all clean and rust free I hope?

If its not raining tomorrow night we'll get out for a spin if you want?

Were you near me when the rain hit last night? I'd a river running through the garden. I started reading Ark building for dummies, and gathering up 2 of every animal.

ST Colin
May 20-2009, 10:49 AM
Yeah, sounds good. Chain finally look half respectable. I was going through town on the way to Bike Dock last night when it started. Took me 30 minutes to get over there, and the rain was really heavy the whole way there.

At least I could be seen in the poor visability in my orange Focus! :D

Thats it I'm definately changing my car now! Black audi's are far to conservative!!! lol

My mate built one of those trike motorbikes, He just painted it st orange. Gorgeous colour, but I'm too shy for that I think!

ST Colin
May 20-2009, 11:05 AM
Well I am, but because there weren't many used ST's about when I wanted one, I took the orange one. Here it is:

Old Fiesta ST is on my flickr too, and plenty of the bike.

Try setting up a flickr mate, nice little hosting site

rochey
May 20-2009, 11:08 AM
Was your fiesta a blue one?

rochey
May 20-2009, 11:12 AM
Just looked on flickr, I know your car. Seen it a few times at creightons. I've a soft spot for fiestas. I've owned about 6 over the years. Focus looks stunning mate.

ST Colin
May 20-2009, 11:14 AM
Fiesta was a great wee car, just the right deal came along for the Focus so I went for it. I'll take you out in it some day, just for the 5 cylinder noise on it's own!

rochey
May 20-2009, 11:18 AM
I know mate they're cheeky. I was looking at a blue focus up in knockdene the other day, i was tempted but I really fancy 1.8t a3, The only thing there is it look identicle to what i have only it goes like a scalded rat! lol

ST Colin
May 20-2009, 11:20 AM
Maybe an older shape S3 would suit? It's the 1.8t lump, 225bhp and highly tunable. If not, a normal 1.8t typically puts out 150bhp as standard, so a good remap would probably add 30/40bhp easily...

rochey
May 20-2009, 11:24 AM
Oh it would have to be the 225 bhp. (It would be my Eleanor) Theres no point going for the smaller engine because theres not that much of a difference in the insurance prices, and like you said they are easy to tune.
