My Salsa Dos Niner. 29" wheels, 1" rear pivotless travel, 4.1lb frame and shock weight, build from spare parts (ask me about that sometime, there's a story there) Steerer needs cut and a tubeless conversion to come.
Finally, a bike that actually fits me...

He is allowed at least one more bike than his other half. Thats the rule I am working towards. I've currently only got half a bike more than her and its not good enough

Have you rode it yet, whats it handle like with the 29" wheels?

the back end is ugly as sin but a soft tail 29er would be awesome. I ran a fully rigid singular swift for a while and the big contact patch and the low angle of attack on the tyre on rough stuff was amazing
been toying with an alfine 29er for a while
I wonder who would build me a ti one?

I'd give up a body part for a ti one of these with big wheels

Rochey, best way I can describe it is smooth. It flows, it carves, it feels like little bumps like low curbs (not been on trails yet) dont even register. Nimble and twitchy are two terms you could never use, but it feels really, really nice. Well it did when I did my bin collection day slalom down the back alley! Front wheel has a little more noticeable flex on very slow speed (bars turned 45 deg) type cornering, but once you are rolling, you dont notice it. Its a bugger to wheelie...
I'll report back once i've got it muddy!

I've seen them on internet but have never seen up close. Cousin reckons they're like his old raleigh bomber. Let me know what it rides like. I like to be different. I might build one.
