Sketchy or not, fair play to him for hitting it. Some peole are tallented enough to be able to hit jumps etc first time whilt the less tallented take a bit of practice to get it right. The more DHD hits the gap the more confident he'll become and before you know it he will be pulling no footers, that would actually be good to see from both of you. Your both progressing quite rapidy and could go along way.............that is if you encourage each other and lend support instead of constantly trying to put each other down.
Respect and friendship go along way ;)
keep it up guys, your showing great pontentail

There's talk in the thread about the take of being behind the tree and further back from the edge of the bank. Is it much further to the tranny?

It's about 4ft further back from the old one.
All I can say lads is be careful when hitting it , make sure you have someone on the path to keep watch for walkers etc; I had the cops over on Saturday when I was at the otherside of MPs, they were getting complaints about people jumping over\onto paths.
Just use a bit of common sense to keep everyone happy.

Yeah - what he said. You should be pushing each other to improve, not winding each other up. Youse seem to be progressing really quickly, no need to resort to childish 'Na na ne na nah!' type stuff, just shut up and ride.:-)

winding each other up is usally the only way to get some one off a jump

Lovin your photo there Stevie. I've one of myself hitting the gap when it was like that, but its on a camera phone, so the effect is lost! :D
Think the take off is probably about four foot back than what it was it your pic, but there's no kick off it anymore, so you're no where near that height in the air.
Fair play to downhill dude, having the balls to hit something first time is the hard part.. Just go a wee bit faster next time and your sweet:)
