Nice one! Keeping that front wheel up on take off is the key.

Better off practicing drops onto sloped landings, or transitions. You can go bigger, faster and will be a smoother landing. You will do damage to you bike dropping to flat!!

Well, given that we cant see you land the drop its hard to say if you done it right.

When your dropping onto flat from whatever hight, land on your back wheel first and as you do so, compress your legs to soak up some of the impact, then push your front wheel down. This will take alot of pressure away from your wheels etc.

Ive dropped onto flat bigger than what your doing and have had no problems, no problems because i compressed my legs to take most of the impact.

Watch how Trials riders drop onto to flat, that should give you an idea as to how to do it.

Hope this helps ;)

IMO your bike won't last if your going to be doing things like that.

Meh, I dunno. I'm 13 odd stone and I regularly did bigger drops to flat than that on my old coiler. In fact I basically did little more than that for a whole winter, the frame seemed as good as new when I sold it a year later. This kid probably weighs less than ten stone? It'll be alright. Maybe not clever mind.

Here's Ryan Leech giving a good demo on dropping, both to flat and tranny ->
