gosford forest park MTB

has anyone ever heard of any downhill trails in gosford forest park armagh as i go there in the summer in the caravan and it is a 1,000 acer wood and it looks like you could cut out a nice track but i was wondering is there any tracks there allready there.thanks

Gosford FP is pretty flat, a dh bike would be way overkill! Id say a hardtail would be better.

nothing DH (no big enough hills), nice XC spot though. No real trailbuilding been done other than the FS family trail. There is a lot more potential to make it a really fantastic XC spot though.

It's HT territory up there, however there is few good short runs at the far side of the old castle/building in the forests highest point.
We built them a few years back, however haven't been back since.

I live 4 miles from it,i'll use it for XC to build my stamina up.

Mainly CRC. Next day delivery is really handy and it free. The other spot I would also use a lot is Bikedock in Belfast.

The guys in there look after me so I can't complain. Its maybe a bit far for you but its only a 5min run from work.

if you are camping in gosford clare glen is only a couple of miles away, there are some trails there with jumps and stuff.

i was in Gosford on saturday,trail in great shape.You can get good speed up in a lot of places too.
