If you want to get a good industry round-up then this blog is pretty decent:

I personally get news feeds from Sun, Oracle and EMC, but then that's the area I work in. The Sun BigAdmin feeds are particularly good if you're using Sun hardware/Solaris.

Apart from TheReg, Slashdot is the obvious one (though it can be childish and noisy sometimes, it covers the news well). Phoronix is good for linux news. For a more political tech side, be sure to keep up with groklaw. I'm talking about newsfeeds here, rather than trying to keep up with sites regularly just by visiting, by the way!
Podcasts are really good, and less boring than just reading sites -- shows like DLTV, Geekbrief (which is also pretty hot :D), DiggNation... all cool. TWiT might be good too, but I can't remember.
While I'm talking about podcasts, AskANinja and Tiki-Bar TV are well worth checking out, if you fancy a laugh.
Apart from that... discussion forums (and better yet, mailing lists), local specialist groups (Mac User Group, Linux User Group, Microsoft/Windows User Group), and BCS (British Computer Society). Oh, IRC too. And local courses, obviously. Can't think of much else.

Oh, Tom's hardware is also decent. Or was, last time I looked.
