Hey,
ive decided im getting the bike resprayed after a year of dh its lookin tired and faded. At the moment its black, with orange mtx wheels, im stripping it down to the bare metal then getting it powder coated. At the moment i have nooo clue to colour, dont want to get white or green but really dont know what colours. I was thinking yeti team dh colour but dont know.
Anyone have any other ideas?
blue is a wee bit boring, and conor, were universal helpful/good quality?
I will probably go for them, bike below..

I always thought that was 'Honda Aubergine Pearl Metallic' but anyway it does look rather schweet.

Since last night I've been contemplating doing my hardtail. Thinking either orange, white or raw. Or just not bother cos black is badass.

change those forks first then think about a respray cos it looks ok as it is in my opinion

forks are changed, snapped the lowers and have a nice set of new ones but they are identical to travis lowers. And are pretty decent forks. The frame badly needs a respray after being chipped beaten and scraped and gouged. Just looks tatty and old now. Im liking the idea of that purple.. or metallic sparkle blue, though after my looking about i can only find matte colours, no metallic or pearl colours, can you get anything other than plain in powder coating? Raw was an option but its too common these days, too hard to keep shiny and once you get a dent it looks crap.

Pearlescent is just smaller metallic particles.
They're both essentially the same thing, so there's no reason why you can't put a mix of metallics in the same paint.

wrong, metallic paint has metal particles in it but pearl paint is characterised by the pigment particles which are more rounded

got the bike resprayed..
£40 by universal, they were good, only one small blister but it was in a place that you would never see.
The colour is light blue you either love it or hate it really.
Going to get new white parts after xmas like seat, e13, seat clamp qr etc. Small things that will make a difference.
And of course decals will be on they way after xmas as well. im thinking white with a black outline.
Opinions?
