Location?

Like others depends on location and date.

I say Ae.
Why?
XC trail for XCers. DH track for DHers. Omega Man for those who are between XC and DH.
I'll be doing the XC loop and a good play on the Omega Man on the HT.
Looking at the current offers on Stena, It will be £105 for car plus driver, and £15 for each additional passenger. Not cheap. Will contact Nutt.

Ae forest is the only suitable location as it caters for those interested in dh, freeride and cross country. any other location and we are turning are backs on particular groups and thus limiting the number of those who would go. The whole idea of the xmas trip in my eyes was to have a laugh and try out new toys etc :)

I'm up for which ever.
Could possibly rope in two others.
Could take 4 if a van driver can take a 4th bike for us.

Okay, excuse my ignorance but Ive never done one of these day trip to scotland things. Are you sayin conor that if I took 5 in the lux it would be £165 - ie £33 per head?
Conor
December 13-2007, 11:19 AM
Yes it would be. Or £37.50 per head in a car of four. As I said, once you ad fuel on top it's not a cheap day trip.

No - £105 for car + 4 passengers is what he meant, plus £15 for a 5th person = £120
Which isn't bad if you can fit the 5 bike in!

So thats 35 litres of diesel or about 40 quid or £8 quid each making it aboot £40 total per head with 5 in a car not including food. I reckon my girlfriend throws a stropp when she hears about this. Bless her heart.
Does much drinking go on during these trips?

The MTB Day trip £105 for car and 4 has finished, today, although extreme ironing goes on until 18 Dec. Is that what "Oh! Screw That!" is for?

I thought it was £105 for car + 4 and conor posted just at the same time and I felt silly.
What is extreme ironing?
When they do £75 daily mirror offers, I find it hard to part with the cash for a £150 day trip.

I emailed stena about the lack of day trip offers.
Apparently they will be returning in 2008, but they havnt released the info yet.
So if you wait a week or 2, you'll prob get a lot cheaper.
