Regretably Im having to sell my '07 Commencal Meta 5.5.2. I've had this bike since just before the start of the summer, but due to other commitments I've barely been able to ride it. Its had its first service at Real Cycles and has only been ridden a couple of times since then. Ridden for XC only, so no jumps or drops. As a result the bike is in as new condition and I doubt it even has any paint chips! Normal 5.2 spec, however I have upgraded the brakes to Shimano XT's with 180 discs, SDG Bel Air i-beam lightweight saddle and seatpost (not shown in photo) and Panaracer Cinder tyres (not shown in photo). Oh, and how could I forget the ODI Ruffian lock on kit along with the Gusset Slim Jim pedals :) Size is large and I am looking £1000 for this bike. Absolute bargain when you consider the spec and the reviews speak for themselves. Im fairly certain you cant get these anymore so if you want what is still one of the best trail bikes around for a good £800 less than a new one PM me or e-mail jonpatterson@hotmail.co.uk (mailto:jonpatterson@hotmail.co.uk)

Bump - dropping price to £950, thats as low as will go. If its not sold in 7 days will be going on e-bay so grab it while you can. Comes with a shock pump as well and the wee book of manuals you get when new :)

Would you be interested in financing it? I would be interested but I wouldnt have the funds straight away.

I wish I could, but unfortunately theres just no way that Im aware off for me to finance something, I would be taking a pretty big risk. Whenever I am in the "interested but wouldnt have funds straight away" scenario I usually go for a bank loan :)

Is the bike still for sale or have I missed the boat?

I've only just realised this is a NI site. Could a courier be arranged - if you still have it?

I do still have the bike okay and its still for sale. I could possibly arrange for it to be delivered, but it depends where its going to. Whereabouts are you?

I am in Leeds; I have contacted some courier companies for a quote for transport. I assume you are in Bangor NI, not Wales?

Try IFS in Antrim as should be able to ship for less than £25 if you are stuck.

Ask for Alison Hillman at IFS. Dont tell them the size of the parcel just the weight. They use TNT for pickups and they seem to only care about weight. If you tell them it is large they will try to charge you.

Shame on you :p IFS Ducati sponsored Sean Emmett a few years back in BSB.

Ask if they price by volumetric weight or actual weight. If the former make sure you tell them the size, else your bike may end up kicking around a depot for ages before they decide it can't fit thru the weighing machine, then eventually it'll be returned to you, with a bit of damage, and a bill for the return carriage.

They have big machines that weigh stuff, with most a bike box won't fit into it, so it'll automatically be rejected.

I have used IFS for years to ship windsurfing boards (fairly bulky items usually 2.5metres long at least) and also to pick them up in england and to date have not had a problem but Steve's right you take a chance when you don't give them all the info. Having said that I had one board damaged and they paid out on the insurance. They usually just ask for weight so I only volunteer that information. They do not ask for size (usually) so I dont tell them. and because they sub the work out and the subies dont talk to them them it works out OK. I have used parcel force as well and they are actually pretty good. they have a lenght limit which one guy enforced and another did not.

Also used IFS to pick a bike up on the Isle of Wight and had no problems.
