Lylo and I are doing a run up thru Tolly, over to Donard, thru Donard, back to Tolly, out of Tolly, back into Tolly, then finish, this Sat. It's a mix of a few of the singletrack runs, fireroad climbs and the hell that is always the heath crossing. About 15 miles, steady pace. Starting at Tolly at 11am.

Anyone want to join?

Time wise, how long?

Steveb
October 23-2007, 11:38 AM
I'm guessing 4 hours. But that's mainly riding, not your normal 5 min ride, 30 min walk then 20 min standing around chatting ;-)

Why not get up a few hours earlier and meet up with us in Rostrevor for a spin? We'll go easy on you!

Steveb
October 23-2007, 11:43 AM
Ya right. I'm not up to your standard, yet.

Steveb
October 23-2007, 11:47 AM
Let me rephrase that...

I'm not up to the standard of being able to keep up with you guys even when your taking it easy on me, but I will be soon.

It's gonna take a lot longer to get to your standard!

No worries. Found a new wee trail in Donard that is real nice, very rocky so slippy as in the wet, but should be real nice in the dry.

Catch ya again on the trails sometime.

Maybe, but I'm not going to describe it here for obvious reasons.

Motion based linky thing (http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/4310746#) for the ride today. On the graph the climb at 9 miles was as hidious as it seems.

Steep, rocky technical, nearly had me spat off a couple of times. Real swine of a climb getting to it!

Mr Nuts, no worries mate, you did look like you were suffering a bit, but a weeks living it up in Italia isn't recommended as preride preparation! See you out there next time!

sadly the builder of said trail resides in scotland now. there is another trail on over the forest that makes that one seem like stealing candy from a kid!
