Just thought I'd let you know about some crackin accommodation I stumbled across when organising my last scotland trip. See link below:

The place is called 'Greenhead Lodge'. Sleeps 8 in a converted barn and is proper luxury (well, compared to what i'm used to on bikin trips)!
We used the house for 3 nights as part for a 7day tour in September - worked out as £15pppn between 6 people sharing. Bargain! - Cheap as a YH but way more space and facilities.
Situated 6 miles above Dumfries, about an hour from K'tree and no more than 30mins from Dalbeattie, Mabie, Ae, and Drumlanrig. Perfect base for short trips.
In fact, I'm planning another trip for the last week of January.:D
