Film - Shoot 'em up

Any one else seen this? Is it meant to be a spoof? If not, what a pile of drivel. It was so bad it actually became funny at times. If your looking for something to watch while intoxicated, this is it. At one stage the 'hero' fires his gun with a carrot!! Then discharges a bullet from between his fingers by placing his hand in front of a fire.

Ok, reading that back, it must be a spoof.

Bubba ho tep is fantastic.

Anyway shoot em up. No its not supposed to be a spoof but your not supposed to take it seriously either, its a riff on the action genre - john woo-esque action movies in particular. Its paying homage to it by parodying it slightly. I enjoyed it for what it was, dumb fun, but I dont think its a great film.

If you've seen hard boiled, bullet in the head, the killer or any of woo's hardcore hong kong action movies then it's more obvious where its coming from.

Yeah 'Shoot em up' basically came across as a demo reel for a stunt troop.

Some good ideas in it but basically no..


Bubba ho-tep is a great movie, cant wait for the follow up (Bubba ho-nosferatu)

Bubba Ho-Tep was brilliant, loved the music.

I liked Shoot Em Up, lots of fun you just have suspend your disbelief and leave seriousness at the door.
