Fancy a weekend riding the trails in Scotland with local rider who know all the hidden stuff? Read on.
When:
Departing on Friday 19th October on the 1720 ferry arriving in Stranraer at 1910, then a 3ish hour drive to Peebles, which is near Glentress and Inners.
Returning Sunday 21st October on the 1950 ferry arriving back in Belfast at 2140.
Accomodation:
People can stay wherever they want, a group deal has been done with the Cross Keys hotel in peebles (http://www.crosskeyspeebles.co.uk/), it's no frills hotel with a bar :D and is bike friendly.
Riding
Glentress is the nearest venue to the hotel, and has everything for everyone. Inners is also nearby and has an uplift weekend when we shall be there. Riding ability and style will be very mixed within the group so everyone will be able to hook up with other similar ability riders. We also have local guides sorted to show those interested the hidden trails at these venues.
The conditions at these venues is pretty good, they are man made and reasonably well maintained. Nonetheless plan for mud and rain and stuff, it's Scotland!
Costs:
Nutt Travel (http://www.nutttravel.com) are quoting about £200 for a car plus 4 plus bikes, and the hotel rates are on their website, depending on what type/size of room you want. A group discount is being worked out and will be reported back here asap.
How to join in:
Just say you wanna go here!
Those looking for a seat in a car should say so here, those looking for passengers to fill their own car should also post here. Once your car is full, get the ferry money off the passengers then book the ferry via Nutt or other travel agent. For accom work people should work out what they want (single/double/twins etc) and book direct with the hotel quoting ref. MTBrider.
MTBrider will NOT be booking any ferries or accom for anyone!
If I've missed anything, ask here.
